One of the attractions at the forthcoming Multimodal exhibition (NEC Birmingham, 10-12 May) will be the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) Pavilion.
With over 650 member companies, UKWA is the ‘Voice of the Logistics Industry’. The UK’s leading trade association dedicated to the third party logistics sector, UKWA’s members control in excess of 100 million square feet of warehousing space from over 2,000 locations across the UK.
The UKWA Pavilion, which will be prominently located within the main exhibition hall, will showcase the products and services offered by UKWA members and associate members.
The Pavilion will be centered around a business networking area where visitors to the show can learn more about the workings of UKWA and the benefits of joining the association. The facility will also be a place where visitors can discuss their logistics or materials handling needs with the companies that are exhibiting on the UKWA Pavilion.
In addition, UKWA will have its own seminar theatre throughout the show where delegates can participate in a full programme of thought-leading presentations from UKWA members, associate members and other guest speakers..
In the past 12 months UKWA has introduced a number of significant member benefits and services that are designed to help members to grow and succeed in a fast-moving, rapidly changing and increasingly competitive marketplace, and at Multimodal some exciting new UKWA initiatives will be announced, including a training and education scheme, Warehouse Exchange, a Jobs Portal, and a new ‘Warehouse Auditor’ app.
The Association will also use Multimodal to highlight its new report, Feeding London in 2030.
This ground-breaking research was commissioned by UKWA on behalf of its members, and all those in the wider logistics community, in order to understand the facts, highlight current trends and demonstrate the future requirements of the UK’s food and grocery supply chain.
The UKWA website is also the place to find further details of UKWA’s extensive range of member benefits.
