IAAF Hold their Annual Conference on the 7th December

The IAAF have announced that they will be adopting a post-Brexit theme at their Annual Conference, which is set to take place next month. The Federation will have a range of influential key speakers at the Conference who will discuss the important issues connected to the aftermarket of tomorrow, as well as the future development of technology.

The Conference, taking place on the 7th December is sponsored by Autoparts UK and will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milton Keynes. The Conference will aim to explore the current issues around the UK and Europe, as well as highlighting and illustrating a number of changes that are taking place across the industry from a technical, legislative, market and Brexit perspective.

The theme will be Facing a post Brexit world in the automotive aftermarket and aims to address all of these issues in order to produce a lively debate for those that attend the conference. The event will be facilitated by Johnny Herbert, who is widely recognised as one of the greatest all-round racing drivers in the history of the motorsport. There are expected to be around 100 attendees at the IAAF Annual Conference, who are expected to mostly be parts suppliers, distributors, garages or representatives from the industry and aftermarket trade press.

The Conference this year will address the importance of the UK aftermarket to the UK economy and the impact that will be had on it from Brexit with a talk from Dr. Julia Saini, the Vice President Consulting of Frost & Sullivan. Quentin Le-Hetet, the General Manager of GIPA will be discussing the global influences that are having an impact on the distribution sector of the UK aftermarket. The Co-Founder of Whocanfixmycar will also be speaking at the event, exploring the rise of online service providers and the impact that they can have on the UK aftermarket.
