Celebration : Industry-Leading Fulfilment Specialists ILG

2023 has been another year to remember for ILG, part of the Yusen Logistics family, with awards, accreditations and generous amounts raised for charity. With even more growth and exciting projects on the horizon, 2024 looks set to beat the already high bar set this year.

Industry Awards

In July, ILG was awarded the Excellence in Customer Service award from UKWA (United Kingdom Warehousing Association). ILG is no stranger to success at the UKWA awards, having won awards in several categories since 2017, including awards for Training, Young Employee of the Year, Company of the Year, and Logistics Service Provider of The Year awards.

As part of this process, ILG also received some very positive testimonials from longstanding clients:

Charlotte Tilbury (ILG customer for over 10 years)

“Working with ILG feels like working with an internal distribution team as they truly get the importance of customer service and flexibility to brands like Charlotte Tilbury. (…) even if things aren’t going to plan, I know I will get an honest assessment of the situation as well as pragmatic solutions to quickly turn things around.”

Malin+Goetz (ILG customer for over 7 years)

“ILG have offered a consistently high service level with best-in-class customer service. Their commitment to understanding the brand and company objectives engenders a deep understanding of our business at every level and results in a more results-driven partnership.”

ILG was awarded the  RoSPA gold award for ongoing commitment to health and safety across the entire delivery network. In an industry with many moving parts, the importance of ensuring safety at all times cannot be understated for ILG, and this award is a testament to the enormous amount of work that goes into this.

This latest award marks their ninth gold RoSPA in as many years.

In addition to these awards, ILG was also shortlisted for the Best Logistics Solution award at the BeautyMatter NEXT Awards and Summit.

Making sustainable fulfilment a focus

In October ILG launched its commitment to become a net-zero* business by 2030, with the ‘Zero-by-30’ campaign.

There has already been some great progress towards achieving this, with ILG gaining ISO 14001 accreditation in May and cutting CO2 emissions by 56% since 2018. ILG are committed to only opening sustainable facilities with sensor lights, electric charging points and high BREEAM ratings, and choosing to work with clients that share the same environmental focus wherever possible.

ILG’s environmental commitment has also garnered recognition within the industry, with nominations for the Sustainability Award at the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards.

Charity work

ILG raised £20,303 for their chosen charity for 2022-2023: Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, thanks to stock sales in partnership with clients, sponsoring events, sponsored outdoor challenges and raffles.

Continuing into 2024, from October ILG have partnered with Turning Tides (South region) & The Hope Centre (Northampton region) as their charities of the year, taking collections for harvest and Christmas, as well as partnering again with their clients for old stock sales, with even more fundraising activities and events planned well into 2024.

ILG also took part in the Spectrum Colour Challenge 2023 for World Autism Acceptance Week. ILG strives to create an autism-friendly workplace and a company culture with people at the forefront and have long standing partnerships with Aldingbourne Trust WorkAid and TRACK.

Sponsorships

ILG were proud sponsors of some industry-leading events in 2023, including the CEW Beauty Awards and Product Demonstration Event, the Pure Beauty Awards and the Sussex Chamber of Commerce – Planet Saver Green Business of the Year Award and the CEW Achiever Awards .

In October they also hosted the first Vibe Panel event at Soho Hotel, where more than 40 guests joined them as they discussed the theme: “In a highly competitive, omnichannel beauty ecosystem, where multi-generational shopping follows different paths, how do you put your customer at the heart of your business?”. With discussions from a panel of industry experts to insights from consumers in the streets, the event provided crucial context and actionable insight to inspire the future of the beauty industry.
