Royal Mail has announced that its customers will now be able to drop items off for delivery at local Royal Mail Delivery Offices, as it attempts to make things easier for Amazon and eBay sellers across the country.

It is the latest move in a series of initiatives by the company to make its services more convenient and flexible for its customers, with greater access to its network.

The new drop off service means that customers will be able to visit their local Delivery Office from 7am instead of having to rush to it on a lunch time before it closes for the day.

The scheme is aimed to make life easier for anyone who runs a business on a part time basis or someone who is required to be at home later in the day because of family commitments or if they would rather wait for courier deliveries at home.

Royal Mail also believe that the scheme will add to the existing network of local Post Offices and postboxes, with the aim of improving consumers’ experiences in using the service.

Furthermore, online marketplace sellers and small businesses will also benefit from the easier service scheme as a place to drop off their parcels.

He added that the Customer Service Points at local Delivery Offices will provide customers with a place to access all of its secure, safe and time critical delivery services as well as its already impressive network of local Post Offices and postboxes.
