The manufacturer of the Flexi series of articulated forklift trucks, Narrow Aisle Ltd, has reported significant interest in its services and product range from those who visited its stand at the recent CeMAT exhibition in Hannover, Germany.
John Maguire, the company’s director of sales and marketing, said that the firm enjoyed its most successful ever appearance at the CeMAT exhibition.
He added that the CeMAT show has always proved to be a hit for Narrow Aisle Ltd, and this year’s event continued that positive trend.
Mr Maguire said that the company met various senior figures from a range of diverse industries, many of whom attended the show to discuss their plans for implementing major handling systems.
He pinpointed companies from the grocery sector as being especially keen to find out more about the company’s new FlexiPiCK system, which is an order picking system allowing over 1000 cases to be picked by one operator in an hour.
The company says that the smart design of FlexiPiCK allows users to make the most of the layer quantity order picking technology that has seen a rise in popularity after being initially pioneered in the USA.
The system means that there is now no need for investment in high fixed cost and automated handling technology that other gantry robot layer picking systems have previously relied upon.
Another concept that the company recently launched in the field of space saving storage solutions is the Flexi StorMAX system, which has also received significant attention from the German audience.
This is a warehouse management system (WMS) storage solution that allows 50% more pallet locations to be achieved in a store’s dimensions compared to other storage systems served by conventional reach trucks.
Mr Maguire added that the company has already pencilled in further meetings with several organisations that they met at CeMAT 2016 to arrange ways in which the StorMAX and FlexiPiCK systems will help their business operations.
