Loadmac Starts Partnership with Atlas UK

Loadmac Starts Partnership with Atlas UK

Loadmac Truck Mounted Forklifts has appointed Atlas Cranes UK as its exclusive sales and service provider in the country in an attempt to grow its UK market share. Based in Ross on Wye, Loadmac is the only truck mounted forklift manufactured in Britain.

This move was described by Loadmac Managing Director Mark Hignett as: “The biggest thing to happen in the domestic truck mounted forklift market. Our partnership with Atlas will allow us to provide a level of aftermarket support never before seen in the UK”.

Loadmac already has a presence across Europe and in North America and Australia. However, it needs to focus more on the domestic market and in order to achieve performance there, it became partners with Atlas. The Loadmac product will then be dual branded in the UK and sold in Atlas’ signature orange brand colour.

“It makes total sense for us. We will be selling the product to the same types of customers we are already working with. We pride ourselves on being able to provide our customers with a one-stop-shop solution and Loadmac will fill that gap in our offer. Our engineers will be able to service both cranes and forklifts at the same time, meaning big operational advantages for our customers too,” commented Atlas Managing Director Jim Smith.

Loadmac’s product range contains 2.5 tonne and 2 tonne models, boasting one-side off load, multi-directional steering and outstanding mechanical durability. The machines are rigorously tested in Australia, one of the harshest environments in the world for truck mounted forklifts, ensuring the machines can thrive in the most demanding conditions.

Atlas Cranes UK is a division of long-established German company Atlas GmbH, which provides a wide range of small, medium and large truck loader cranes to customers nationwide. Throughout April, the sales and technical training will be completed and Atlas Crane UK will officially begin Loadmac operations starting with the 1st of May 2018.
