Lesjöfors Springs operates in the automotive aftermarket and produces the largest range of coil springs used in this sector. The company also manufactures a range of coil replacement springs as well as one of the market’s leading selection of gas, leaf and sport rings which are utilised in the same aftermarket sector.
The company have acquired this new larger distribution centre as they have experienced the continued growth in the automotive aftermarket. In order to ensure that they can remain market leading amongst this sector growth, the company has relocated to a facility that offers almost 50% more capacity than their premises before the move. The new distribution centre has been created to meet the company’s exacting specifications and allow the company to deliver their high standard of customer experience.
Lesjöfors are wanting to expand their presence in the UK market, and the new distribution centre that has been purpose built for the company will allow them to fulfill this ambition while also allowing the company to adopt more efficient materials and warehouse management solutions in order to meet the demands of the market while maintaining their 99% service rate.
The new distribution centre is in a great location and offers better transport links than the company’s previous facility. The UK distribution centre on Lindley Moor Road in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire is closely connected to the motorway via the nearby M62. The centre also has a dedicated entrance to the site which is great for heavy goods vehicles, meaning that transportation of goods to and from the site will be easy and efficient.
