Quartix Renews Its Support For Local Action For Children Project

Vehicle tracking company Quartix has made a new donation to a local Action for Children project which provides home-based support for children with disabilities.

Leading vehicle tracking supplier Quartix has made a £400 charitable donation in support of Action for Children, a charity providing home-based and outreach support for children and young people with disabilities. Through regular one-to-one support, the project gives children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in social and leisure activities within their communities and to learn new skills. The support also allows parents and other family members to spend time together, supporting the family unit as a whole.

A donation from Quartix last year enabled the charity’s Powys Community Support Services to take 70 families supporting children with disabilities on trips to Chester Zoo and Borth Animalarium during the summer. Chris Dunne, Practice Team Leader for Action for Children, said the contribution had a very positive impact for the families they work with: “These opportunities are of vital importance to families because it’s a chance for them to get together and make social links, feel less isolated and become more confident. The continued support from Quartix will allow us to do something just as valuable again this year.”

Andy Kirk, Sales & Marketing Director at Quartix, added: “We are committed to supporting the local community. The Powys Community Support Services are a great asset to the area and we are delighted to help their fantastic work.”
