Exol Lubricants has revealed that their Annual Golf Day was a success. The event, which took place at Droitwich Golf Club has been proclaimed as a success as twenty players got involved with the four-ball Stableford competition. The event took place on Thursday the 29th of June at the Exol-sponsored Golf Club.Exol Lubricants works to provide a variety of lubricants that are suitable for products in the industrial, agricultural, automotive, marine and off highway sectors.
Droitwich Golf Club has been open for many years, with a great deal of golf being played on their fairways during this time. Opening in 1897, the Golf Club has seen several different uses during its time as well as a Golf Course. In the Great War the Worcestershire site was used as a Red Cross Hospital.
As part of the Stableford competition at the club, prizes were awarded to the winning team as well as the individual player, with other prizes handed out for nearest pin and longest drive. The team that took home the prize at the event consisted of Scott Donaldson, Dave Showler, Dan Jones, and Joe O’Shea. Steve Sherwood managed to take home the best individual player in the tournament. The longest drive title was given to Dan Jones, and the nearest pin going to the Managing Director of Exol, Steve Everitt.
The event looks to offer competition as well as an opportunity to form new connections. The event has grown popular, and hopefully the popularity of the vehicle lubricant company’s Annual Golf Day will continue to increase.
Droitwich Golf Club, the location or this event, boasts more than 100 acres of green nestled amongst the Worcestershire countryside. The Golf Club can be found just outside Droitwich to the north. The Club is easily accessible, being just 1 mile away from Junction 5 of the M5 motorway.
