The Marketing Support & Communications Coordinator for Brake Engineering is raising money for The Little Princess Trust with a charity Hair Chop. Emma Turnbull has hip length hair and will be having at least 12 inches of it removed in order to raise money for the charity. The charity chop will be taking place on the 30th September and will hopefully raise a large amount of money in the process.

Brake Engineering is among the leading parts suppliers for the UK aftermarket of the automotive industry. The fundraising effort is for an amazing charity that works to support young children suffering with cancer and a range of other illnesses. The Little Princess Trust raises money that funds cancer research and also delivers real hair wigs to children that have lost their own hair. The Little Princess Trust works to support those that struggle with losing their hair, although they have seen a number of children cope well with this side effect of treatments or illnesses.

The Little Princess Trust has raised more than £500,000 with Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group, or CCLG in order to fund childhood cancers in 2016. The Charity ha also raised and awarded £106,000 in order to help research projects for the very start of 2017 alone. The charity has so far raised an amazing £1.2 million since the charity was first formed. The Little Princess Trust has been in operation since 2005, set up initially to meet the demand for high quality wigs for children. The original Little Princess was Hannah who bravely fought a Wilms tumour until he sadly lost her battle in 2005. During this fight it was a struggle to find a high quality wig for Hannah to wear, and following her death, the amount of support received by her parents inspired them to set up The Little Princess Trust to support other children in Hannah’s position.
