TTS Group signs historical contract for Syncrolift®

The Norwegian Quartered TTS Group is an international corporation, with subsidiaries in 14 countries, providing handling solutions and access systems for the marine and offshore industries.

The TTS Group has just signed a new contract for a 9000 ton Synchrolift (ship lifting system) and a transfer system with Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited (KSEW) in Pakistan. The total order value is around 250mNOK (=23.27m British Pound), which makes it one of the largest Synchrolift contracts signed by the TTS Group, according to the CEO, Toril Eidesvik.

The equipment deliveries for KSEW will take place in first half of 2019. Design and development will be carried out in Norway, while manufacturing is done in Europe and China.

TTS Syncrolift, a subsidiary of the TTS Group, proves to be a leading ship lift supplier by gaining a 70% market share over the past years alongside a stable turnover. The subsidiary continues to sell and deliver to different emerging markets in Asia and South America as they started replacing their own traditional ship lifts with modern Synchrolifts which provide a range of benefits such as being able to handle multiple ships while also operating faster than the old ship lifts.

“This gives our customers a volume and efficiency advantage compared to other shipyards using drydocks”, so Tomassen.
