P&O Ferrymasters Collaborating With Erontrans

P&O Ferrymasters will be collaborating with Erontrans in order to release an intermodal rail service. The Pan-European company that provides supply chains is working alongside the Polish logistics company in order to create an intermodal rail service that connects the UK, Benelux and central Poland via Europoort that will be situated in Rotterdam.

The logistics solution that has been integrated with P&O Ferries. The companies have chosen the Europoort based LTE Netherlands to act as a rail carrier service as part of this collaboration. This service is expected to deliver four trains each week that will run each way between Europoort in Rotterdam and the CLIP terminal which is in Swarzedz -Poznan. The UK will be able to get access to this service in order to transport equipment through the train and ferry network and utilising P&O Ferries terminal which is located in Europoort.

P&O Ferrymasters owns a fleet that is thought to be one of the largest in Europe. The fleet includes around 4,000 trailers and containers. The Ferrymasters company is a part of the Dubai World group, a leader in offering tailored transport, logistics and supply chain solutions.

Erontrans is one of Poland’s leading logistics providers and delivers a range of solutions for road and sea freight as well as customs services and logistics. The Polish logistics company has 14 different partner terminals which are located around Poland and has more than 40 that are based around Europe in order to work as a part of the global network of shipping and airline operations.

The partnership between P&O Ferrymasters and Erontrans  has been created in order to establish a procurement alliance that would improve the customer support that is available for this kind of service. The companies have both said that the project will reduce risk and create a high standards of service as well as larger payloads and less CO2 emissions.
