DFDS Announces Extra Sailings On Its Rotterdam-Immingham Freight Route

Choice of eight sailings a week from 9 September 2014

DFDS has announced an increase in capacity on its Rotterdam-Immingham freight route. From 9 September 2014, customers will be able to take advantage of two extra round trips a week, in addition to the six that are already available. The extra round trips will depart on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Rotterdam and on Wednesdays and Fridays from Immingham, all at 14:00.

ANGLIA SEAWAYS will be sailing the extra round trips and is joining the Ro-Ro freight ships, FIONIA SEAWAYS and HAFNIA SEAWAYS, already servicing the route. ANGLIA SEAWAYS offers 1680 lane meter cargo capacity and space for twelve accompanying drivers.  It was built in the year 2000 and offers a service speed of 18,6 knots.

Allan Hull, Route Director Netherlands at DFDS, comments: “We have seen increasing customer demands for more capacity on our Rotterdam-Immingham freight route. We also anticipate further demands for capacity in the fourth quarter. We are therefore pleased that we can now announce two extra round trips per week in addition to the six we already offer.”
