Wendy Morton MP : National Rail Recovery Conference

Wendy Morton MP : National Rail Recovery Conference

Over the past two years, the railway has had to contend not only a pandemic, but it was already embarking on developing a new structure following the Williams-Shapps Review. As such, every part of the industry urgently needs imagination, invention, and a reboot to ensure that the whole is fit for purpose for a post-pandemic world under Great British Railways.

This year’s National Rail Recovery Conference will bring together experts and Government to provide an update on current progress building the new structure, while providing an opportunity to discuss and debate some of the changes that will need to be made in the coming months and years. This will be the event to frame that debate and enable engagement and participation in some of the most important discussions our industry has needed to have in decades.

Join us on May 4th for a one-day hybrid rail conference that will take place in-person at etc.venues, County Hall, London and also online for those who prefer to take part virtually.

Key themes for the day: The creation and implementation of Great British Railways; the vision for and progress on the Whole Industry Strategic Plan; and delivering the vision for a reimagined railway in the future.

A series of breakout sessions will also enable you to tailor your experience to the topics of most interest to you: the passenger journey, freight’s potential, a greener railway, levelling-up and infrastructure investment, revenue recovery and more.

Leading industry speakers including:

  • Wendy Morton MP, Minister of State, Department for Transport
  • Anit Chandarana, Lead Director, Great British Railways Transition Team
