Network Disruption and Alterations to Services

The situation of railways in this country is currently in a catastrophic state with networks all over the United Kingdom experiencing a number of disruptions and alterations to services.

Due to this, passengers are regularly being encouraged to check the websites of the various train network services operating in the area that they are living in. This is not only something that is occurring in the north of England such as in Yorkshire or in the vicinity of Nottingham, but also in places like Kent and Surrey that are also showing the disreputable state of railway networks in dire need of improvement. Through this, it can thus be inferred that it is more necessary than ever for the government to consider that the re-nationalization of the railway systems would be the best way to improve the terrible state of the rail transport networks in this country.

According to various YouGov polls, a lot of people from all over the political spectrum (from traditional Labor voters to UKIP supporters and even hard-line conservatives) are actually in agreement with the fact that the railway systems are awful and that nationalization is the answer to the problems that many commuters are facing all over the country. Through this, it seems that this is something that the government seems to be currently ignoring due to the other current issues of the day: Brexit. Trump. The state of the NHS. Will the government privatize it as well? Where will it end? It is important for issues such as these to be raised as the country seems to getting closer and closer to a social collapse that will be a cataclysmic desire for all involved and it is therefore essential that people’s voices are heard and that something is done. Indeed, the repair works whilst necessary betray all too clearly the terrible state of affairs of this country’s railways and something more drastic will need to be done to change the current system in place.
