Latest Network Rail Upgrade at Maidstone

The railway network at Tovil in Maidstone will benefit from a new intended initiative to give it a brand new footbridge. This development along the railway will ensure that pedestrians wishing to get across the railway tracks will be in a much safer position to do so than ever before and will be able to become the latest beneficiaries of Network Rail’s ongoing developments to improve the railway systems and networks around the country. This particular development in transport and logistics in Britain is perhaps particularly encouraging because it indicates that Network Rail are not merely devoted to improving the conditions for rail commuters and passengers, but also for pedestrians and locals who may not use the railway networks in the local area but are still undoubtedly affected by them. Indeed, in the route leading Maidstone West to East Farleigh, it is clear that approximately 350 walkers and bicycle riders would benefit from this new development in the local area.

Thanks to the new footbridge that will be put into place, modern and easier access will be permitted to all those traveling on foot across the railway track, and the ramp will furthermore be safer and more able to withstand adverse or slippery conditions than the current system in place. Additionally to this, the work will not be a major disruption and will be carried out in just one weekend from the 24th to the 27th of this month. Whilst this work is being put in place, walkers will need to go by a different way just for the duration of those vital works, which are sure to improve the lives and safety levels of on-foot travelers and of the station itself.

With the amount of level crossings being closed down completely around Britain due to the dangers that they impose on individuals, particularly in the dark winter months we are currently experiencing, it is nice to see devotion to renovation by Network Rail for those in Maidstone who use their feet to go to work.
