Ryan Godfrey has been appointed by vGroup International, the UK’s leading provider of motor accessory essentials, to head up its one-stop shop vComms division in an attempt to expand its national mobile car and van accessory fitment service across the fleet and leasing industries and to franchise dealer groups.
“Major franchised dealer groups have a central fleet department, but they then frequently have a network of accessory suppliers which can prove expensive with cost duplication and result in inconsistent fitment standards,” commented Mr Godfrey.
vComms offers a national menu of fixed prices as well as its comprehensive range of accessories for online ordering by fleets and vehicle suppliers, such as contract hire and leasing companies and franchised dealers.
As one of vGroup International’s largest divisions, vComms has saved customers, including end-user fleets and contract hire and leasing companies, thousands of pounds due to its national fit policy via a fleet of 35 mobile vans and technicians, menu pricing and low complexity product range.
To expand vComms in the end-user fleet and contract hire and leasing sectors, Mr Godfrey has devised a three-year plan that includes: further developing vComms existing product range with consideration for increased versatility, value for money, and changes in the fleet and leasing market; continuing to prioritise customer service and promote the availability of services; influencing further development of vLink online ordering platform with links to technicians’ smartphones via apps with functionality that includes real-time job updates, photographs of work completed for customers’ viewing and invoice activation; and improving the division’s marketplace presence through social media, press coverage and customer feedback.
