Fleet Industry Aviation Group Autumn Workshop 2017

The Fleet Industry Advisory Group, or FIAG, will be holding their Autumn Workshop 2017 on Thursday 19th October 2017. The workshop is expected to explore the future of composition and fuel of choice for British car fleets as well as discussing the different ways companies can more effectively manage drivers and journeys.

The workshop will be a round table event and has been sponsored by Automotional, the specialist driver risk management company. The event will also be held at the company’s Training Centre which is located at the Formula E Paddock, Donington Park Race Circuit. The workshop will aim to focus in more detail on how fleet managers can adapt and futureproof their vehicle company choice lists while the government increases the pressure to use plug-in vehicles. And workshop will also be looking at diesel fuel and the ways it is being demonised in the media as concerns grow in regards to air quality. Also the upcoming introduction of London’s Ultra-Low Emission Zones and possible clean air zones in towns and cities across the nation.

Round table seminars include debates among the delegates present at the seminar. Each of the topics planned for the workshop will be discussed individually and will be preceded by a range of short presentations which will be given by experts from the industry. Geoffrey Bray is the founding chairman of FIAG and will present on the future composition of company car choice lists; John Sutherland Wright is the Training Director of Performance on Demand and will explore how driver management can be improved; finally, Phil Powell, the Sales Director of Matrix Telematics will look into the prevalence of connected cars and how vehicle and driver related data can help to improve business performance on a whole while meeting data protects requirements from the General Data Protection Regulation which will come into force from May 25th 2018.
