Bill Laidlaw has been appointed as the Dealer Development Manager for the LDV in the UK. Bill is one of the most experienced professionals operating in the commercial vehicle industry and will now be working as a part of the LDV Senior Management.

The new Dealer Development Manager has more than 30 years’ experience working in the automotive industry. This new appointment will make the LDV management team even stronger, as Bill will no doubt be an asset to the business. In his new role, Bill will be responsible for the continuous development of LDV’s dealer network. It is hoped that the company will grow to 60 dealership locations over the course of the next 2 years.

Bill’s experience in the industry has allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the CV industry operates. His experience has made him the perfect candidate for the position at LDV and it will hopefully lead to an expansion of the company’s dealership base while attracting more customers across the UK. The appointment will be beneficial for LDV, and their dealers as the experience and specialised skills brought to the company by Bill will help the company to grow and the dealers will now have a dedicated point of contact with Bill as Dealer Development Manager.

In his previous role, Bill Laidlaw worked for Bristol Street Motors in Stoke, as the Ford Commercial and Business Manager. Before this, Bill has worked as the Sales Manager for Richmond based New Commercial Vehicles at the Van Center. Bill has expressed his excitement to join the LDV team and is looking forward to getting to work with the business’ extensive network of dealers throughout the UK. The new Dealer Development Manager has said that he has been aware of the company and has been watching their progress since relaunching in 2016. LDV has managed to create a high level of demand for their vehicles since relaunching and has managed to create a brand that is modern and meets the needs of modern drivers.
