Transport and freight forwarder Schmid Transport and Spedition GmbH & Co is celebrating its 70th anniversary with the purchase of 33 new Box Liner container carriers from Krone for its national and international logistics operation.
The Box Liner eLTU70 and Box Liner eLTU4 were selected as they are hardworking and reliable container carriers with flexibility and easy loading, perfect for Schmid’s demanding, pick up and drop, sea container and swap body service.
Both container chassis are designed for multi-position use and can accommodate any size of standard container or tank from 20’ to 40’. Manufactured using the latest KTL, cathodic-dip paint process, for effective corrosion protection, the low-weight trailers are specified for improved cargo distribution and maximum payload.
“The service provided for our customers is of the highest standard and over the last 70 years has never stood still. Therefore, we need trailer chassis which not only cope with a wide variety of container sizes but also stand up to the daily pressures of round-the-clock loading.
