Collett & Sons’ heavy lift crane vehicle and lorry loader haulage fleet features front and rear mounted cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 9 Tonne/Metre to 205 Tonne/Metre. These vehicles all meet BS7121 Part 4 regulations.
Furthermore, all of their Crane Vehicle Operators are trained and certified, ensuring maximum safety when undertaking your lifting requirements.
Meanwhile, the ALLMI (Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers) Certified Drivers are experienced and skilled to self-load and unload freight and machinery. This allow the company to safely and efficiently undertake transport, haulage and lifting & positioning tasks without the need for hiring mobile cranes or fork trucks.
These cranes are mounted to artic tractor units and front and rear mounted to rigid vehicles which provide the ideal solution when space may be restricted.
For complex lifts as defined in BS7121 Part 4 (Safe Use of Cranes), Collett provide qualified Appointed Persons (APs), Slinger Signallers and Crane Supervisors to plan and execute lifting operations. This service also incorporates the supply of RAMS (risk assessments and method statements), lift plans, calculations and other required documentation.
Working alongside the general haulage and heavy transport operations, the addition of their crane vehicles allows the team to provide a heavy lift loading, offloading and flexible delivery solution. Furthermore, their Projects Team provide engineering calculations and planning for complex lifting solutions tailored specifically to each individual project. Utilising the crane vehicle fleet allows them to provide a flexible haulage solution for a variety of cargo requirements.
The largest heavy haulage lorry loader unit in the Collett fleet comes in the form of the Effer 2055. The largest of its kind in Europe, the Effer 2055 205 Tonne/Metre Crane offers a powerful weight to ratio performance.
