XPO Logistic Top Ten Provider Worldwide

XPO Logistic is one of the top ten logistics provider worldwide. The company provides supply chain solutions to some of the most successful companies in the world. XPO currently has 197 locations throughout the UK and employs more than 15,000 employees.

The state of the art Logistics team has successfully secured a mutli-million pound deals with Groupe SEB. This deal is a long term contract extension which could be very lucrative for XPO Logistics. The new contract with the cookware company Groupe SEB will focus on streamlining the cookware giant’s supply chain. This will happen by moving the client to a shared user model of logistics to save the client time and money.

Groupe SEB has worked with XPO Logistics for over 15 years. The previous relationship consisted of the logistics company providing solutions regarding solutions for transport. This has a programme that occurred at a domestic level throughout France. The companies have also worked together for Spain and Portugal transport solutions. The partnership regarding the Spain and Portugal works has been established since 2015.

The new contract will also encompass product storage for the cookware company. XPO Logistics will be involved in moving the Groupe SEB’s UK warehousing to a facility in Derby. This warehouse will be a shared user facility located in West Hallam. This new facility will have the capabilities to deal with peak activity. During increased activity, the Groupe SEB’s stock has the potential to double. The new agreement also covers picking and deliveries by XPO Logistics, who will deliver to retail chains on the high street. These stores include Home & Cook as well as other individual customers. Individual customers come for orders from Groupe SEB’s online store.

The extended partnership of these two companies should continue to allow successful business, with both parties benefitting going forward.
