Walker Logistics, the rapidly expanding supply chain solutions specialist has announced that they have recently received their second major industry award of the year. The supply chain solutions specialist has been named as the winner of the Operations SME category of the Logistics Awards that recently took place at London’s Grange St Paul’s hotel.

Walker Logistics has managed to beat their competitors to claim the award and it is great news that the specialist is being recognised for the hard works that is put into offering the best supply chain solutions to their clients. Walker Logistics Ltd stretches back to 1977, when Phillip Walker first established Walker Freight Services Ltd at the age of 19.

Other companies that were named as finalists for the Operations SME category include The Book People, Feel Unique, Fresh Logistics Services and McCulla, but Walker Logistics managed to claim the prestigious trophy.

This achievement at the Logistics Awards follows success that was experienced by the company in July this year. Earlier this year, walker logistics was recognised for their commitment to carrying out their operations at the highest environmental standards possible. The company was celebrated for this work at the UK Warehousing Associations Environment award.

The Sales Director for Walker Logistics, William Walker, has said that such success over the course of a short period of time is great news for the company and winning two prestigious industry awards in the space of a couple of months is a reflection of how committed everyone working at Walker Logistics is to delivering excellent customer service.

Wayne Petrie, the Senior Warehouse Manager of Walker Logistics was in attendance at the London Grange St Paul’s hotel event and collected the Logistics Award from Paul Sinha, the host of the event and John Buckley, the Sales Director of the Award ceremony sponsor, Toyota Material Handling UK.
