Transmec Delivers Eye-Catching Decorating Project

Logistics company Transmec UK has completed an eye-catching DIY project for Harris, one of the UK’s leading decorating brands.

To celebrate a successful first year of working together, Transmec has created a dedicated trailer for LG Harris & Co, the family business which has been based at Stoke Prior, Worcestershire, since 1937.

The resulting livery showcases the company’s commitment to British manufacturing as well as highlighting Harris’s status as the UK’s No 1 preferred paint brush and roller brand for home decorators, in addition to the Royal Warrant it has held since 1961.

General manager of Transmec UK, John Simkins, said: “We’ve worked very closely with the Harris team over the past 12 months. We are very proud of our association and the provision of the new trailer shows our commitment to a long-lasting partnership.”

Operating from its depot in nearby Redditch, Transmec collects around 100 pallets of products from LG Harris & Co’s headquarters each week for distribution to independent retailers across the UK via the United Pallet Network (UPN).

Keith Westwood, operations director of LG Harris & Co Ltd, said: “The trailer looks fantastic and it’s already turning heads. It’s wonderful to be able to celebrate our British heritage whilst partnering with a well-established business like Transmec UK.”
