Norbert Dentressangle Furnishes Deliveries For Moores
Norbert Dentressangle has secured a new three-year contract with Moores Furniture Group, a leading manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom furniture, to distribute its wide range of products throughout the UK.
Founded in 1947, Moores is based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, and is part of the global Masco Corporation. The company supplies furniture to contract markets for social housing developments, private builds, and has a number of retail brands, which are sold in independent retailers. It also supplies furniture to builders’ merchants and large DIY stores.
After reviewing its supply chain, Moores has moved from an in-house distribution model, which had limited operational flexibility, to an outsourced solution that accurately matches delivery flows in line with order volumes.
Using a combination of dedicated vehicles, operating from strategic locations in Motherwell, Leighton Buzzard and Gloucester, and Specialist Services, which provide two-man deliveries for large furniture items, Norbert Dentressangle provides pre-booked or next day deliveries in line with customer requirements to agreed KPIs (key performance indicators).
With its range of value added services, the fully trained Specialist Services team offers direct to destination transport, offload and final positioning to point of installation that ensures products arrive safely and in excellent condition.

Moores’ customer service team can easily track orders using an integrated combination of it’s own IT technology and Norbert Dentressangle’s SHARP transport management system to provide real time information and proof of delivery data.
