Norbert Dentressangle Accelerates MOBIS Parts Distribution

MOBIS Parts Europe (UK), the parts division of the Hyundai Motor Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Norbert Dentressangle for parts distribution to its network of around 360 Hyundai and KIA UK dealerships.

Rocky Vasudeva, General Manager of MOBIS UK, said: “Both the Hyundai and KIA brands have seen incredible market share growth over recent years and the time is now right to further support our future growth strategy via a new service proposition.”

The change in the distribution model will ensure dealers get a through-the-night service with parts being delivered in roll cages pre-8am compared with the current pre-noon parcel delivery service.

As well as enabling dealers the ability to provide a better level of customer service by reducing the lead-time from order to delivery, there are also expected benefits to be had in reduced transit damage and packaging costs.

This news follows MOBIS’ recent announcement extending its partnership with Unipart Logistics to at least a 10-year term, until 2018. Jon Horton, Automotive Director at Unipart, said: ”Unipart is delighted to develop the parts service to dealers through a new operating model with a trusted transport partner. This lays the foundation for all three parties to prosper through a collaborative focus on operational excellence across this value chain.”
