• Number of completed jobs hits a record 4,300 in March
• Online backload platform saved nearly £190,000 for dealerships during the month
• Movex now receiving over 250 live transported jobs per day across the UK

Movex celebrated a record-breaking finish to Q1 in March, as the money-saving vehicle movement platform produced all-time high movements and savings for dealers across the UK.

During March, Movex saved dealerships nearly £190,000 in vehicle movement costs, while generating over £620,000 of revenue for transport companies.

This is due to a record 4,300 jobs being registered on Movex’s online backload platform during March, which is dedicated to filling any empty slots on car transporters or return journeys for trade plate drivers.

Movex has generated approximately £6.4m of revenue for transport firms and trade plate drivers in the last three years, who are taking advantage of Movex’s unique backload platform to maximise profitability and reduce their environmental impact by eliminating unnecessary mileage.

Supporting their success was March’s plate change as transport companies across the UK benefit from dealerships who are continuously looking to deliver and collect new cars or vans.

“With many dealerships needing to swap out older models for 15-plate cars and vans on forecourts, not to mention deliveries of brand new vehicles to customers, demand surged in March, leading to over 250 live jobs on the Movex platform per day,” commented CEO Daren Jones.

“This has enabled us to generate vastly increased savings and revenue for dealerships and transport companies. Courtesy of March’s figures, we are well on the way to achieving 100,000 vehicle movements in 2015,” he added.
