Microlise Transport Conference 2015 Set For Record Attendees

The Microlise Transport Conference, now a key date in the transport & logistics industry calendar, looks set to attract a record number of delegates next year when the event takes place at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, on the 20th May, 2015. The conference, which includes a full day’s programme supported by an industry exhibition area, will once again be chaired by Quentin Willson, one of Britain’s best-known motoring authorities, and will feature speakers from across the industry, including transport operators and industry bodies.

Registration for the event has now opened through the conference website, which can be found at www.microliseconference.com. The Microlise Transport Conference is free to attend, with both the available exhibitor and delegate places expected to be taken quickly.

The focus of the Microlise Transport Conference is to provide insight and information for fleet operators to help them reduce operating costs, improve service levels and reduce impact on the environment – key challenges for organisations running transport and logistics operations. The conference programme will feature a mix of industry viewpoints, to deliver an agenda that offers huge value to delegates.

In addition to the conference programme, delegates will gain access to an exhibition area with the opportunity to meet industry operators, associations and suppliers. The exhibition area will this year feature a workshop space, where Microlise will run short sessions focusing on specific topics within transport management, to deliver additional value add.

The Ricoh Arena, which is once again hosting the Microlise Transport Conference, is one of the UK’s top venues for exhibitions and conferences, and is conveniently centrally located to provide easy access.

“The Microlise Transport Conference has become a key industry event in recent years, and the 2015 event is shaping up to be the best yet”, said Bob Harbey, Executive Director at Microlise. “We have some fantastic speakers lined up who will be announced over the coming months. The agenda will offer great insight into the issues we as an industry face as well as a view from organisations running best-practice operations”.

Quentin Willson, who has chaired the last two Microlise Transport Conference programmes, will once again be returning.

“The Microlise Transport Conference has grown from strength to strength over recent years, with last year’s programme delivering exceptional coverage of the key issues facing the industry”, commented Quentin. “The 2015 conference programme will once again offer a unique opportunity to hear from leaders within the industry and I look forward to a lively day of discussion and engagement on the issues that really matter”.

The 2014 Microlise Transport Conference saw an outstanding array of speakers address over 600 delegates. Sessions were run by industry associations and bodies including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), the Freight Transport Association (FTA), the Driver and Vehicles Standards Agency (DVSA), Transport for London and the Transport Commissioner of the West of England. Speakers also included industry operators, such as DHL, Maritime, CM Downton, Hewden and NFT.
