The steel transport company has also announced that they have moved their operation onto a higher level of flexibility as well as changed to offer more secure loading.

The Krone Profi Liner which has been selected by JMP Transport Services is fitted with a sliding roof which makes it perfect for fast and secure loading. This is an ideal trailer solution for handling the pre-painted flat sheet steel and steel coils transported by JMP. The curtainsider trailers that have been ordered by the transport specialists have also been fitted with Krone’s standard Multi Lock loading system, with 130 different lashing points on each side rave. This Multi Lock loading system is fitted on to the new trailers with the Krone Multi Block loading system, a feature that has been specifically requested by JMP. The Multi Block system offers the company virtually unlimited strapping options which then allows the cargo to be loaded and held securely at any point along the trailer bed.

In order to cope with the heavy loads carried by the steel transport business, the Profi Liner that has been delivered by Krone has been constructed from fully waterproofed, 30 mm phenolic coated plywood and has been tested to DIN standard, EN 283, making it suitable for forklift axle loads of up to 7,000k.
