H.C. Wilson Expand Fleet With 4 New Scanias

H.C. Wilson Transport Ltd., specialists in the transportation of industrial plant and fabrications, agricultural machinery, abnormal loads, and heavy haulage throughout the UK and Europe, have taken delivery of 2 R560LA6X2/4MNA V8 Topline Griffins, as well as two R480LA6X2/4MNA Topline Low height vehicles.

Founded in 1967, and with their first Scania purchased in 1970, H.C. Wilson has been loyal to the Scania brand for years. Their fleet, consisting of 30 vehicles, 27 of which are Scanias, and 60 trailers, now operate out of their depots in Bury St Edmund’s, Scotland, and the Netherlands. Their work across the continent, with a focus on transporting abnormal loads, has led them to become one of the leading heavy haulage companies in the UK.

Graham Wilson, Director of H.C. Wilson Transport Ltd., commented, ‘We chose Scania and the Griffin specification on the V8’s that we purchased because we tend to keep our vehicles for longer than most hauliers. Over 7-10 years, the Scania V8s last a lot longer than its competitors’.

James Crouch, Area Sales Manager, added, ‘We at TruckEast were very happy to supply more vehicles to H C Wilson. Both companies have a very healthy long standing relationship and we look forward to supplying vehicles in the future. H C Wilson prove that for heavy haul and specialist low height vehicles, Scania can provide the optimum solution’.
