Bicester-based logistics provider wins two national awards from Palletways UK : The family-run firm has recently certified as a B Corp
Leading logistics provider,Darcica Logistics, has achieved a double national award win, recognising its sustainability performance and PR and marketing efforts, from Palletways UK, Europe’s largest express palletised freight network. The award wins are well timed, as the Bicester-based company has recently become a Certified B Corporation.
The family-owned and run business has been honoured with the prestigious Sustainability Champion Award for the second year running, for its outstanding commitment to sustainable logistics, together with the Palletways PR and Marketing Award for its proactive communications.
The awards were announced during the annual Palletways UK conference and awards evening held at Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire. The Sustainability Champion Award was presented by Palletways UK Managing Director Rob Gittins.

The Palletways PR and Marketing Award was presented by JBP Managing Director Chris Lawrance, who commented: “Effective marketing plays a critical role in the growth of any business and particularly for a national distribution network like Palletways. We are delighted that the winner of this inaugural award is Darcica Logistics, a member of the Palletways network which has demonstrated significant proactivity in its marketing efforts which has paid off in terms of the growth that the company is experiencing.”
Darcica Logistics is committed to reducing carbon emissions and future-proofing its operations, with 30% of its fleet being electric, including a 42-tonne DAF XF, two 19-tonne electric DAFs, four Maxus EV vans and a fully electric company car fleet. The firm continues to monitor and adopt zero-emission vehicle technologies (with a diesel-to-electric truck conversion on order with NewPower) as they become viable for broader use in its operations.
Darcica was among the first in the UK to achieve ‘Mission Zero’ accreditation (equivalent to FORS Gold), including the Sustainability Module, aligning its operations with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2024, the company joined the SME Climate Hub, committing to annual carbon reporting and transparency, before recently becoming B Corp certified.

“With the support of Government incentives, the total cost over ownership of EV trucks is currently on a par with diesel and whilst upfront costs remain higher, we’re committed to long-term environmental progress.”
