Axis Fleet Management has released news of an investment into new IVECO heavy trucks. The Fleet Management company has invested more than £11 million into the new trucks in order to expand their increasing customer base. The investment that has been made by Axis Fleet Management will see 150 IVECO Stralis tractor units that include the premium two-man Hi-Way cab. The tractor units that are included as part of the fleet manager’s investment are ideal for delivering on comfort over long distances for the drivers.
This deal that has been agreed by Axis and IVECO is the largest heavy truck order in the UK for this year so far. As part of the deal, the fleet management company will have their new and existing vehicles included on a full service contract hire. This deal has been funded by IVECO Capital and will be fleet managed by Axis. The vehicles in Axis’ fleet will have maintenance carried out at IVECO’s nationwide dealer network.
The new fleet of Stralis heavy trucks will; be powered by IVECO’s Cursor 11 engine. The engine on these vehicles are capable of delivering 460 hp AND 2,150 Nm of Torque with the HI-SCR engine technology that has been developed by IVECO. The technology used in this engine means that it does not require any downtime for forced regeneration or involvement from the driver to function as efficiently as possible.
Axis Fleet Management works to offer long-term contract hire and fleet management services to their clients. The company offer a number different type of vehicles including rigid trucks, tractor units and trailers as part of the more than 3,000 assets managed by the company.
Axis is offering a number of ride & drive events in order to allow fleets to experience the Stralis products being supplied in a real-world environment. The first delivery of trucks are all diesel powered, however Axis has expressed some interest in the Stralis NP or Natural Powered vehicles which could be a sustainable choice in the future.
