Allied Bakeries has a fleet of more than 940 trucks and trailers. It has been announced that the fleet will be continuing to run using Michelin tyres for the next three years. The announcement has been made in connection to Allied Bakeries renewing their contract for tyre management with Michelin solutions. The EFFITIRES™ tyre management contract between Allied Bakeries and Michelin solutions will make sure that all of the DAF, IVECO and Mercedes-Benz vehicles are fully managed. The fleet 596 rigid trucks, 150 tractor units and 202 Cartwright and Don Bur single and double deck trailers will be covered with the EFFITIRES™.
This news comes while ATS Euromaster also selects Michelin Solutions to continue to supply, install and service tyres for their nationwide mobile fleet of vehicles. Michelin are a well known tyre company and are chosen time and time again for business use because of their extensive knowledge and use of a top quality product that lasts.
Allied Bakeries is a flagship customer for Michelin solutions, and the tyre managers will be making sure that they deliver the best service possible for the next three years. Allied Bakeries use their fleet in order to carry out multi-drop deliveries and each vehicle is thought to travel an average of 45,000 miles each year. The tractor and trailers that are a part of the fleet carry out inter-bakery trunking and can travel up to 80,000 miles a year. Allied Bakeries has a close working relationship with Allied Mills in order to source the flour needed to generate their products, which includes Kingsmill, Burgen and Allinson.
