Terex Trucks Are Looking For Six New Recruits

Terex Trucks has revealed that it is looking for six new recruits to join their modern apprenticeship programme. The manufacturers based in Motherwell create rigid and articulated haulers and are looking to expand their numbers by training six new apprentices.

The apprentices will be based at the company’s global HQ which is in Motherwell. The disciplines with apprenticeships available are the Craft, Technical, Quality and Procurement. The apprenticeship schemes will offer hands on paid experience as well as allowing the students to gain a range of different qualifications including the Scottish Vocational Qualifications and National Certificates. There will also be the opportunity to progress in to further education after the completion of the programme.

The truck manufacturer is looking for six apprentices that are bright and committed as well as eager to learn and ambitious. The apprentices that Terex are wanting to apply are ones who have a genuine interest in engineering or in quality or procurement. Now it is thought that College and University are not the only ways to get in to a good career, so companies like Terex that offer apprenticeships are giving people a viable alternate to academia. While studying and gaining their qualifications, apprentices will be getting hands on experience at a global off-road trucks manufacturer that is owned by one of the most famous brands, Volvo.

The apprenticeship scheme will take four years to finish and throughout that time the apprentice will have a dedicated mentor. The apprentice will also be getting experience working alongside expert engineers and technicians. The closing date to apply for the apprenticeship at Terex is the 19th May 2017. Full training will be offered from Terex Trucks’ HQ in Newhouse, Motherwell as well as at the training providers EKGTA which is in East Kilbride and the Training Matters in Hillington Innovation Centre.
