A leading logistics company is offering a year long paid placement for an undergraduate within their international freight department as a part of an overall expansion plan.
The full-time placement at Core Management Logistics (CML), based at Magna Park, in Lutterworth, would be ideally suited to a business student looking to take a gap year or anyone with an interest in sales and/or logistics eager to undertake a year in industry before completing their university studies.
CML is a privately owned supply-chain services company specialising in retail warehousing and distribution and works with a number of exciting retail brands including Marks & Spencer, L.K.Bennett, Finery London and MiH Jeans to name just a few.
The company has also been providing air, ocean, road and rail international freight forwarding services since 2008 to Asia, Europe and the Americas and has recently taken on more staff in order to expand its import and export markets into South America and the Middle East.
The new role would provide the successful candidate with the chance to gain hands on experience and unrivalled knowledge within the international logistics industry. Duties would include building and maintaining successful relationships with new and existing customers and creating a robust filing system as well as undertaking a variety of other general administrative tasks.
The position would ideally suit someone with good attention to detail who is self-motivated and confident speaking on the phone as well as comfortable using computer software packages such as Microsoft Office and Outlook. It would be advantageous for applicants to speak multiple languages; however this is not essential to the role.
