NX Courier Promotes One of Its Staff Members

NX Courier, part of The NX Group, has promoted a delivery driver from Milton Keynes, who has worked for the company for the last four years, to run the courier fleet. In his new role as Operations Controller, Russell Thompson will be heading up the firm’s fleet of vans and drivers, arranging pick-ups and deliveries while bringing in local, national and world-wide customers from the firm’s office in Crick.

“I started out as a courier driver because I enjoy driving work and appreciate the variety of delivering items people urgently need, and over the years working with NX Courier I’ve brought Moto GP riders’ helmets to Donnington Park, passports to holiday makers at airports and even a tonne of gin to Ascot on race day,” said Russell.

“No two days are ever the same here, which helps keep the job fresh and fun even when it’s busy, and though I’m now more deskbound in my new role due to my extra responsibilities, the sheer variety of customers we meet and items we deliver remains – in fact it’s increasing all the time as the company grows,” he added.

Neil Powell, the Managing Director of the Group, also commented on Russell’s promotion: “Russell has shown himself to be a loyal, enthusiastic and hard-working member of our team, and his knowledge of our courier business through driving vans around the country himself, coupled with his knowledge of our clients made him the ideal choice for our Operations Controller.”

The national logistics firm based in Northamptonshire is a complete suite of supply chain solutions for businesses that require an extra level of quality and care for their products. Its distribution, warehousing and courier divisions have grown year on year due to its emphasis on quality, security and personal approach.
