Novus Roadshow

Novus Roadshow

Over 1,000 employees of Novus Property Solutions have been treated to a special roadshow courtesy of their own company to ensure that risks in the workplace are reduced to a minimum amount.

This roadshow however came with a difference and was not the usual ordinary routine dull drill of a safety reminder: it was intense, focused and very emotional, highlighting with impressive energy the horrors that can and do occur to individuals if they are too reckless and do not follow the appropriate safety measures that they have been instructed to use. Especially emotional were the contributions to the presentation by Mister Paul Blanchard, who back in July 2010 had a terrible accident that involved him falling from a considerable height and left him permanently paralyzed. The employee stunned audience members with his honest vocalized accounts of what the results of his paralysis have done to his life and entourage.

The subject of safety is particularly of a concern to a company like Novus, who deal in hiring contractors to complete often perilous jobs that involve working at high levels and on rooftops. Mister Alan Nixon of Novus Property Solutions highlighted the fact that with a company as huge as Novus, which it is estimated performs much more than four million sixty-minute sessions of work on sites per annum, and with as many working hours, a certain number of accidents can come to be expected. However, as Novus have made clear, such displays as the roadshow are designed to help contractors and site managers anticipate these damaging occurrences and to prevent them from happening. What is clear is that, with a considerable amount of risk assessment and information events expected throughout 2017, Novus at least are indeed concerned with the safety of their employees and work very hard to ensuring that all are happy and safe in the sometimes perilous world of the construction place.
