New Manager Appointed at Crane Worldwide Logistics

Crane Worldwide Logistics have appointed a new UK Managing Director. Chris Lee has been appointed after working at Crane Worldwide since 2011. Previously Lee was the Global Account Manager. The new Managing Director will be based at Crane’s new warehouse facility, which can be found in the Heathrow are of London. Chris Lee has gained experience in the industry over the course of 20 years. Lee started his career in an operational capacity with Exel Logistics in 1994.

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a company that has been operating since 2008, and founded by Jim Crane. Involved in freight management and logistics, Crane Worldwide has grown to operate in 113 different locations within 25 countries.

The position of UK Managing Director became available following the promotion of Jason Stretton. Stretton is now Director of operations for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. Jason Stretton has been based in Shannon and will continue to promote regional operations for Crane Worldwide from Shannon. Stretton will be focused on improving the operations across Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East. The reshuffle has also led to a new position of Director of Sales. This position is now filled by Ewan Alexander.

Support for Chris Lee and his UK team will be provided by colleagues in Aberdeen and Neil Dyson who has been promoted to Operations Director UK. This role covers Crane Worldwide’s UK core sites situated in Manchester, Felixstowe, Aberdeen and London Heathrow.

The reshuffle of the top jobs within Crane Worldwide is ahead of future plans to expand. Opening up more directing roles provides the country with a solid foundation for their planned expansion. Crane Worldwide growth is set to occur over the course of 2017. These reshuffles could also be in reaction to the challenges expected within the industry in the near future.
