Logistics Specialist Strengthen Team In Time Of Growth

UK transport and logistics specialists, Bedfords Group recently announced the appointment of two new members to its expanding work-force, plus the promotion of their long-serving Despatch Supervisor to Assistant Transport Manager, in an effort to support the growth of the company that recently acquired Milton-Keynes based logistics company RPL Transport.

James Scholfield has been appointed within the despatch team, having previously worked in haulage and Anna Konarska, having previously worked for Hermes ParcelNet, joins the traffic and administration team.

Having worked for the Bedfords Group for the last 7 years as a despatch planner and supervisor, Alan Tranters’ commitment to the company and continued hard work earns him promotion to Assistant Transport Manager, where his main role will be to improve on traffic and despatch operations.

Bedfords’ 33% rise in profits last year, the securing of a 5 year contract with the Daily Mail and recent acquisition of RPL Transport exhibits their plans for continued growth and intentions to expand the work-force as well as promote staff internally.

Anna Konarska commented on her appointment with the Bedfords Group, “All the team are very friendly and have made me feel welcome, which makes the atmosphere at work great. I’m really looking forward to progressing my career at Bedfords in the coming years.”

Steff Pfadenhauer, Managing Director of Bedfords Group commented, “Our ambition is to grow the business and seek further partners in varying industries, and therefore it’s essential to not only maintain and exceed our reputable standard of service but progress with a strong, skilful and experienced team, right across the board. One of our greatest assets is our employees, and they are essential to the on-going development of the Bedfords Group.”
