Local bus company Arriva Yorkshire is celebrating following the announcement that Jessica Mills, local marketing co-ordinator based in Wakefield and Anthony Lowe, local engineering manager at Castleford depot have both been nominated for prestigious awards at the ‘industry leading’ UK Bus Awards 2015.
The awards, now in their 20th year, are designed to recognise, celebrate and promote excellence and best practice throughout the UK bus industry. Finalists were selected from more than 250 entries following a rigorous judging process in 19 categories.
Jessica Mills has been shortlisted for the award ‘Young Manager Of The Year’. Jessica has been nominated for ‘her exceptional ability to lead ambitious projects, and confidently manage stakeholder relationships. Her commercial flair and creative talent bring fresh, new innovations to the company.’
Anthony Lowe has been shortlisted for the award ‘Engineering Manager of the year’. Anthony has been nominated for his ‘dedication and passion to innovate and do things differently. His Leadership style has been described at transformational, motivating and inspiring.’

The UK Bus Awards take place in London on the 24 November 2015.
