Leeds-based insurance broker, McCarron Coates, has appointed a new business development executive who is “hooked on trucks”, to further bolster its growth as an intuitive broker for hauliers and freight forwarders. Faith Emmanuel, has joined the award-winning brokerage to further drive business in a core segment for the fleet transport specialist, which won two national titles in 2021, scooping The National Insurance Award for Specialist Commercial Lines Broker of the Year and the UK Broker Award for Commercial Lines Broker of the Year.
Faith certainly knows her tag axles from her mid-lifts. Her first job after graduating was with Copart UK, an industry leader in used and salvage car, HGV and plant machinery auctions. It is here that she fell in love with the world of road freight – something that propelled her into her second role, with used truck and trailer sales specialist, Dawsondirect and then into a job with prestige brand, Mercedes.
Her role at McCarron Coates will involve rekindling former relationships with her network of independent dealership and hauliers and using her in-depth knowledge of the market to help influence insurance outcomes for clients.
McCarron Coates will strategically deploy her insight on presentations to insurers, ensuring its haulage clients gain the best representation of their risk and a compelling communication of the world in which they operate. Faith will liaise with the insurance team, ensuring they have a deep understanding of each client’s fleet, as she onboards clients and then allows the insurance specialists to take over the placement of the risk and ongoing client relationship.
“Faith’s appointment is a very strategic one for us and will enable us to add value to our relationships with the haulage market. We are keen to use her in-depth knowledge of road freight and to leverage her passion for trucks and trucking in a dynamic way. We believe this will provide a real edge in the market and help further drive our business growth within haulage,” said Ian McCarron, a director at McCarron Coates.
New haulage sector insurance specialists have also recently joined the team, as McCarron Coates continues to grow its haulage client portfolio, focusing on clients who recognise the value of better-managing their risk in the longer term and accruing the significant cost savings that can bring.
