Bibby Distribution Makes New Appointment

Marcus Torincsi has just been named as Continuous Improvement Director by Bibby Distribution, which is a new boardroom role focused on enhancing customer service and maximising efficiency.

Marcus brings into this role more than two decades of experience working across the distribution, logistics, retail and supply chain sectors. He will lead up an 11-strong team, as well as sitting on Bibby Distribution’s Executive Board, reporting to Managing Director Duncan Eyre.

“Our team already has a reputation for excellence and efficiency – and with Marcus at the helm we’re confident we will be able to build on that foundation. We are excited about the ideas and experience he will bring to our business,” said Duncan Eyre.

Torincsi joins the 3PL from Eddie Stobart, where he managed continuous improvement and network development programmes across its transport and warehouse networks. Before that, he spent seven years ta 2 Sisters Food Group, managing various supply chain projects.

“I’ve joined Bibby Distribution because the company takes continuous improvement seriously. It’s rare for a 3PL to have a team like this in place, so it’s a chance to really raise service standards and set an example of excellence in the industry,” said Marcus Torincsi.

Marcus is a qualified industrial engineer and PRINCE2 practitioner who studies Transport and Distribution at the University of Huddersfield. After graduating, he joined Asda and spent 15 years in its transport and distribution division, working through many operational and support roles before taking charge of its continuous improvement programme in distribution.

As one of the top ten logistics providers in the UK, Bibby Distribution exists to enable other companies to drive value from their supply chain activities. The company specialises in providing contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, systems integration and added value services to a wide range of customers. Bibby Distribution operates from 90 locations across the UK, employs 2,000 people and manages 2 million ft² of warehousing space.
