Bibby Distribution Appoints New General Manager

One of the top ten providers of Logistics solutions in the UK, Bibby Distribution has announced that they have appointed a new General Manager for their award winning tanker operations team. The new appointment has been made in order to improve the growth of the Bibby Distribution 3PL’s bulk division.

Giles Létard is 55 years old and will be joining the Bibby Distribution’s Food and Ingredients team. Giles will no doubt prove to be an asset to the company, as he brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Having worked for more than 30 years in a range of different roles in the industry, Giles will be able to offer a range of insight in order to help the company’s spearheaded growth plans. In Previous positions, Giles Létard has worked as a senior sales person, and in operational and management roles over the course of his career. In the past, Giles has been the Head of Commercial at Europe & Americas at Suttons Transport Group as well as being Norbert Dentressangle UK bulk division Managing Director.

In his new position at Bibby Distribution, Giles will be in charge of the management of the company’s major contracts while also developing the company’s Bull Transport & Logistics services on a European level. The Food and Ingredients team at Bibby Distribution is well known for their tanker operations, however there is still potential for the division to improve and expand going forward. Bibby Distribution offer flexibility and varied network size which means that the company is well suited to develop and cut the costs of their food logistics operations for their customers.

Bibby Distributions are wanting to build on their success last year, claiming the title of Tanker Operator of the Year at the Tip-Ex/ Tank-Ex Awards 2016. The distribution company offers a wide range of supply chain services to manufacturers, whether it is collecting milk from the farms or the delivery of liquid glucose to manufacturers. The Food and Ingredients division is made up of over 300 staff across nine different locations in the UK.
