UTA and TimoCom Start Collaborating

Europe’s largest transport platform TimoCom has joined forces with the leading provider of interoperable toll services in Europe UNION TANK Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG (UTA) and customers can now use the TC eMap, a calculation and tracking solution produced by TimoCom.

“As a mobility service provider we have to be where our customers are. As Europe’s largest transport platform, this makes TimoCom an ideal partner,” said Volker Huber, CEO at UTA, about the cooperation.

The transport platform provides up to 750,000 freight and cargo space offers for more than 38,500 companies that do their business transactions digitally through TimoCom. Additionally, TC eMap calculates approximately 2.6 million routes each month and now UTA users can benefit from the advantages of the costing and tracking solution, including places where they can fuel.

“These days, our customers expect to be able to find all the relevant information about their trip in one place,” said Volker Huber. “Our cooperation with TimoCom means that 120,000 users can see where they can use our services when they plan their trip – and they can choose their route in that basis,” added him.

An advantage of TC eMap is that it updates itself automatically, so no additional app or software is needed. After this update, the acceptance points are stored as ‘point of interests’ (POI) next to the UTA logo and every user can access them.

UTA is one of the leading providers of fuel and service cards in Europe and commercial customers can use the UTA card to refuel, independent of brand and without cash, at more than 55,000 service stations in 40 European countries. Other en-route services are also available, such as toll invoicing, repair shop services, breakdown and towing services, and the refund of VAT and fuel tax. Founded in 1963, it is majority owned by Edenred SA (66%), the world leader in transactional solutions for companies, employees, and merchants.
