UTA have made improvements to the security of their fuel cards. With a range of added and improved functions, Union Tank Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG, or UTA has increased the security of the service card use they offer. As part of these changes, the functions that are available to customers via the online platform have been increased.
As part of the changes, customers are now able to manage the limits of using the UTA fuel card online. The customer using the upgraded portal will now be able to adapt a range of parameters for their service card in order to suit their requirements. Using the customer portal, a limit can be added on to the number of transactions allowed each day as well as limit the value of the transaction and when and which countries the card can be used. These features are exceptionally useful for international fleet management.
The extensions that have been added by UTA have are similar to those available to online banking and meets the feedback from their customers to make their service more flexible and available for individualisation. The changes can be made to their account with no significant effort and makes the fuel card more secure. There are a range of other security systems still in place to further reduce the risk of using the cards such as a PIN code query, controls on the transactions and alerts which are sent out in the event of any suspicious activity. In additions to this there are also controls in place to immediately block the card when the first signs of fraud are detected.
All of these safeguards makes the UTA fuel card more secure and limits the risk to the customers as well as improving the flexibility of their service, allowing each UTA customer to select the functions and limits that best suit them.
