TOTAL Just Released a New Additive For Diesel Fuel

TOTAL has just released a new additive for diesel fuel that can be used in commercial vehicles. This new product launched by TOTAL is said to reduce the amount of fuel that is used by the vehicle by as much as 5%. It has also been suggested that the new diesel fuel additive has a number of other environmental benefits too. The name of the new additive product is TOTAL EXCELLIUM Concentrate Diesel. This product is added to regular diesel that is used to fill the vehicle and it is claimed that the additives clean the engine by preventing injector fouling. By preventing this issue, the additive will the increase the lifespan of the engine by causing a reduction in the friction. These additives will also reduce the cost of maintenance on the vehicle.

The tests that took place before the release of the additives showed that the TOTAL EXCELLIUM prevented 93% of the time when trailed over the 12,000,000km. The tests also found that in around 45% of the vehicles tested the TOTAL EXCELLIUM Concentrate Diesel managed to clean up existing fouling in the vehicles. In comparison to other types of fuel that are not specifically additized, a Euro 5 heavy-duty vehicle could travel 17,000km with a reduced fuel consumption of as much as 5%. This leads to another cost saving on top of the reduced costs for maintenance works.

Users of the new TOTLA product will be benefitting by reducing their carbon footprint, as the additive recuses CO2 emissions by 4.2% over 10.500 miles. The EXCELLIUM Concentrate Diesel also helps in the prevention of damage from water contamination. The Diesel work to make sure that any water is quickly separated in order to get rid of water in the system which can lead to premature clogging in the diesel filters.
