Reaclear has been created as a preventative device, with the aim to eliminate reversing accidents, a challenge for the waste and recycling sector. This system has been designed to function with the driver and a reversing assistant. The assistant has a hand-held device that has a two-way Push To Talk communications feature. When it is safe to manoeuvre, the assistant will push a transmit button and inform the driver that it is safe. If the vehicle is reversed without this signal, an alarm sounds in the cab alongside flashing lights and a message is sent to the transport office in order to determine if further action is required.
