The PTV Group Will be at InnoTrans in Berlin

InnoTrans, the international exhibition for transport technology, takes place in Berlin from the 20th to the 23rd September this year, and experts will be gathering from all around the world.

PTV Group’s presence this year highlights how transport modelling can help to understand trends and innovations in mobility, and how they affect cities and existing infrastructure.

The world and society is changing, and so therefore is traffic and transportation, with sustainability becoming more and more important, and experts being forced to think up out-of-the-box solutions. More roads, bigger roads, more cars; these are no longer the answers, and instead alternative means of transport and multi-modality are in demand.

At InnoTrans 2016, PTV Group will be highlighting the PTV Vision “schematic line diagram”, whose benefits can be seen in the realisation of the country-wide integrated timetable recently put in place by the Swiss Federal Railways.

InnoTrans visitors to the stand will have the chance to dive into virtual reality via 3D glasses at the company’s stand, giving a 3D virtual reality bicycle tour in PTV Vision, so that they can experience virtual cities without leaving the building.

The PTV Vision Traffic Suite software aims to provide “the ultimate solutions for optimizing all modes of transport at every scale – from strategic planning and traffic engineering to operational planning, real-time modelling and adaptive traffic management.”

Ralf Frisch, the Solution Director of Public Transport and Apps for the company, invites the InnoTrans audience to visit the PTV booth.

He said, “Every two years the industry meets in Berlin to discuss trends and innovations in transport technology. We are looking forward to spending an interesting week, meeting old friends and making new ones. If you find the time, stop by our booth and get in touch to discuss latest developments and future topics.”

The stand will be number 419 in hall 4.1 at the event.
