NTEX Acquires Sureway Express Transport

NTEX, a leading shipping and freight forwarding company from Scandinavia, has announced the acquisition of Bristol-based Sureway Express Transport in an attempt to expand its presence in the South West of England. As part of the deal, NTEX will grow in size with 27 HGVs, 20 trailers and 32,300 sq ft of warehousing, as well as 46 staff.

“Sureway is a reputable company with experienced and competent employees who are particularly good at distribution in both Great Britain and Europe. Sureway is a company that, like NTEX, values a close relationship with the customer to understand their needs and reach the best logistical solutions. That’s why it feels extra good that the acquisition is now complete,” commented NTEX Chief Executive Thomas Ström.

With a turnover of over £5 million, Sureway is a well-established warehousing, distribution, and pallet network member in the South West of England. NTEX UK’s head office is in Immingham, England, where in addition to London, it also has offices in Bristol and Glasgow, Scotland.

As a Palletforce member, Sureway offers warehousing and distribution and, from its Avonmouth warehouse, it handles, stores and redistributes goods to anywhere in the UK and it also offers container unloading facilities.

In March, NTEX announced plans to grow in the European market with an initial focus on Italy, followed by further steps towards becoming “a complete European logistics company”.

“We see great growth potential in the UK market. The fact that we now have more employees in these areas mean that we can offer both existing and new customers even better solutions in the future,” said NTEX UK Dan Ericsson.

Established in 1985, Sureway Express Transport is Bristol’s premier distributor of palletised freight, with a vast knowledge and wealth of experience in this sector and a dedicated team that is ready, willing and able to deal with any customer queries and requirements. It operates a modern varied fleet of curtainsider vehicles and trailers, from 3.5t to 44t. Moreover, its Palletforce membership, the country’s leading pallet network, enables Sureway to offer nationwide deliveries and collections on a next day or economy basis.
