Motor Industry Providing Free MOT Updates

It has been announced that the Institute of the Motor Industry will be providing free MOT updates at the Automechanika Birmingham. This event will be held at the NEC in Birmingham and the Institute will be providing this service on Thursday 8th June between 9am and 11:30am.

Automechanika Birmingham is one of the leading exhibition evens for the automotive aftermarket and supply chain in the UK. The event first started in 2016 and managed to attract 550 exhibitors. More than 12 000 people attended the event as visitors. This year the event will be even bigger, with more and 800 exhibitors being hosted at the NEC. Automechanika Birmingham is one in a series of 16 different global events that take place across 15 different countries this year.

Technicians will be able to register to attend and discuss the changes in MOT training and tester training. It is thought that the breakfast meeting at the exhibition will allow local garages the opportunity to get an insight in to the most up to date MOT training requirements. The technicians will also have the opportunity to look at what impact the latest training requirements will have on workshops and the different solutions to prepare for this future.

The exhibition will be a great opportunity for UK garages to get valuable information in order to futureproof their workshops. It is also an important event as the frequent changes in requirements for MOT training and MOT tester training could mean that those who are not aware of the requirement could end up on the wrong side of the law.

The Institute of the Motor Industry works in order to develop the automotive trade in order to make sure that customers have been kept up to date with the latest changes and releases to technologies. The Institute also works to provide the necessary training that will ensure the highest quality of service is maintained throughout the Institute’s supply chain.
